XTC was founded in 2002 on the basic principle of making all natural artisan gelato and sorbetto with the freshest ingredients. We started with one small factory and a handful of enthusiastic people. The factory is bigger; we have added a few more people and we now have an established wholesale business and more retail outlets. Besides that, our principles haven't changed and neither has our product.
Everything we do is done by hand. We select and peel the fruit by hand. We select freshly harvested, whole nuts which we toast ourselves. The Valrhona chocolate pieces used in our Stracciatella gelato are broken by hand. And finally, all of our products are packed carefully by hand.
Since we use only the freshest ingredients, we hope you understand that due to seasonality some of our flavours will not be available all of the time. Our shops are small with limited space for our scooping cabinet so not all of the flavours we make will be available by the scoop. If you are a frequent customer and want to see one of our flavours available at your favourite shop more often let us know and we will try our best to keep it stocked.
We are always trying new flavours and launching new products. Look our for our "Funky Flavours". These are flavours that we are testing... if you like them we keep them on our menu. We also have regular seasonal and festival promotions. Look out for these flavours on your next visit to one of our shops. Thank you to all our XTC fans!
